New Project Support to KHAS from Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Program

We’re pleased to announce that the project proposal “CyberMACS- Master of Applied Cybersecurity” coordinated by Prof. Dr. Hasan Dağ is funded by Erasmus Programme, Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters.

CyberMACS proposes a full time 2-year joint European MSc programme (120 ECTS) focusing on “Applied Cybersecurity” to provide solid background within cybersecurity with focus on educating future cybersecurity experts to detect, prevent, mitigate, and manage cyber-attacks. Students will be trained on basics of cybersecurity in first year at Kadir Has University, then opportunities will be provided for specialization in the second year with compulsory following the winter/summer schools as well as compulsory internship. Besides specialization tracks, such as (1) Cyber Security Management, (2) Advanced Technologies in Cybersecurity at SRH- Berlin Universiy of Applied Sciences (3) Cyriptology ve (4) Web and Security at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje; students will receive training in soft skills such as entrepreneurship and complete their degrees with master theses.

CyberMACS coordinated by Kadir Has University is a strong cooperation with eight institutions for European excellence in higher education with a high level integrated & transnational study programme on applied cybersecurity targeting best students worldwide.

Duration of the project is 74 months. The total budget of the project is 5,484,000 EUR. Kadir Has University’s budget is 2,802,000 EUR.

Ferhat Demirkıran, Department of Computer Engineering Faculty MembersDr. Fabio Stroppa, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Faculty Member Dr. Arif Selcuk Ogrenci and the Research Staff at the Cyber Security and Critical Infrastructure Protection Application and Research Center (KHAS_CCIP), Ayhan Güçlüyener Evren, and Berkant Düzgün will take part in the project.
